Situated at the top of a building in the Back Bay, the client wanted a renovation that was subdued, felt light and airy (almost like living in a cloud), and to have timeless charm like many of the old interiors of the surrounding neighborhood. Therefore, we set out to blend old world materials with contemporary gestures, creating soft reinterpretations of older household elements. This achieved twofold: to reinvent the old interiors of Boston brownstones and to create a cloud-like feel.
